Hello, beloved!
Sometimes reality becomes a mystical journey, and dreams take on mysterious forms. I have always believed that the brightest stories live in the shadows, and each photograph can reveal an entire world. My work on the cover of VOGUE Portugal has been just such an experience.
The theme of the issue — “Mystery” — perfectly reflects the atmosphere we immersed ourselves in. The shoot took place in the city of Porto, styled in noir with retro elements — as if stepping into the ambiance of old Hollywood films. Under the lens of the talented Elio Nogueira, I transformed into a heroine immersed in a world of intrigue and mystery. The bold makeup by Jessica Marina Carvalho, accentuating my expressive eyes, and the waves inspired by the 1940s created the perfect look for this issue.
The photographs convey tension and a sense of hidden danger. In one shot, I’m behind the wheel of a car, my gaze fixed ahead like a character ready for a decisive moment. Dark shades, deep shadows, and lighting that highlights my facial features create a dramatic atmosphere. In another frame, a mysterious character in a coat and hat appears alongside me — a classic noir element that adds tension and intrigue.
We shot in various locations, each of which conveyed a sense of solitude and mystery. In one of the frames, wide shots outdoors, a windy shore, a retro outfit, and the feeling that an entire story is hidden in this moment. I felt like a part of a story where every detail — from a glance to a movement — embodies mystery and strength.
This shoot has become not only a manifestation of style for me but also a unique experience that allowed me to dive into an atmosphere of mystery and elegance. I am proud of the result and grateful to the entire team that made this possible.
